MY NANNA

Here is a photo of my nan and I March 2004 after bro's funeral. This was our last time together.

My Nanna, an amazing woman, Helen Elizabeth Hebbard crossed from this world to the next on 25th April 2006 at the age of 98. My Nanna has always meant the world to me. She was one of the stable people I had to hang onto in a difficult environment. Didn't matter what it was ... I knew I could always count on her. She never once let me down. Nanna taught me to crochet when I was about 8 years of age, and today I am very proud to carry on the tradition of the craft. I love sitting crocheting, sometimes I have no idea what I am making and end up with something very special and beautiful, with Nanna's help right beside me. This flower boquet I made Nanna not long before she passed away is my tribute to her beauty and wisdom ... the boquet was cremated with Nanna, so she will have it with her always. I love you so much Nanna, always have and always will. Thankyou for being so patient with me dearest Nanna  ... guiding me gently along always ... all my love Helena xoxoxo
