<jules> Crystals have been used and/or revered since the dawn of Civilisation. Many reports of them have been found all around the world right from Ancient China, Egypt, Mayan, even Atlantis.
<jules> As many of you know I have been working with Spirit for many years now.
<jules> Over the years I have always explored ways of accessing and using energies to enhance my connection with spirit and to nurture my understanding.
<jules> If we understand energies we can improve our connections.
<jules> The Earth is a Living Energy. It is continually transmuting. When this happens the chemicals develop with the rock to form crystals.
<jules> Each has its own unique energy. This we can use to enhance our own.
<jules> With these tools we can change our vibrations in order to balance our own energies.
<jules> Many crystals are colourful. Colours themselves emit vibration and energy. So we now have two ways to enhance.
<jules> We are Living Energies ourselves. Bringing crystals within our environment enables us to bring harmony within.
<jules> Some will ground us, keeping our feet firmly connected to the material.
<jules> Some will uplift to bring balance to the physical.
<jules> Some will help heighten the vibrations and provide and improve connection to spirit.
<jules> Where several  have grown together in clusters or groups the crystal becomes a strong radiating energy.
<jules> Geodes which are a rock filled with small crystals in a hollow in the middle are great for enhancing your personal energies.
<jules> Rough stones especially straight from the earth, have a pure energy and are great for using in healing.
<jules> Tumbled stones are a much gentler energy than the rough stones. It softens and slightly decreases the energetic effect of the stone. They are great to give to children.
<jules> Have you stopped to think of the advantages of tumbled stones. You can keep them in your pocket and every time you handle them you are using reflexology zones on the palm and therefore stimulates the associated body energies.
<jules> Today, I would like to give you some guidance on "How to choose", "What to do with them". "Why to choose them", and some experiments for you to try.
<jules> So first, "How to choose"…. 
<jules> You each have great intuition. Always the best way to find the stones you need is to go with your inner voice. 
<jules> There are several ways to acquire crystals….actually unearthing them- I have found some in streams in England. and on the ground in the US
<jules> But many people do not have the time or opportunity, so find them in shops. The crystals in shops have been mined thus have many other peoples energies on them.
<jules> so how do you choose them?
<jules> first  Stand in front of the crystals.
<jules> Close your eyes and relax…
<jules> Either open your eyes quickly and pick up the crystal that draws you to it through sight.
<jules> Or allow yourself to just move your hands across or through the stones and you will find one will be seen to stick in your hand.
<jules> The crystals have found YOU.
<jules> On holding the crystal you will feel it have an effect on you. Maybe it will vibrate, become warm, even become cold or tingling.If it has no reaction try another stone.
<jules> When you arrive home. It is important that you clear all the other residual energies that the stone has absorbed since it has been found, the miner, the wholesaler,even people buying.
<jules> This can be done in many ways. But some are not acceptable for certain chemical combinations that make up some crystals. 
<jules> Stones such as the gypsum family, satin spar, selinite ,talc,dissolve or are affected by water also calcites, bornite, celestite, apophyllite, azurite.
<jules> Don't use any detergents on, fluorite, azurite malachite or chrysocolla.
<jules> Never use salt or salt water on opal, celestite or apophyllite.
<jules> As you can see there are many crystals that can be affected by using some of the main suggestions for cleansing. The list I have given are only some of the more popular crystals.
<jules> So the main way that I prefer to cleanse my crystals is to use visualisation of the Universal Energy.
<jules> Just as I would cleanse my own energies…I visualise the White Light flowing around and through the stones, dispersing all other residual energy from the natural ones. Spiraling it up from the base and around and over the whole crystal.
<jules> Another way that is acceptable  is to smudge the crystals. This is an old method used by Native Americans.
<jules> Smudge is the burning of sage, sweetgrass and cedar. I also at times when using this also add lavender. Again it is whatever you can grow or buy at the time.
<jules> The smoke is fanned over or the crystals are passed through the smoke thus using the energies of the herbs to cleanse the negativity.
<jules> Sun and moonlight can be used to charge some crystals but again some are susceptible to sunlight and fade.
<jules> Why choose a particular crystal?…Each of us are individuals and must use our own awareness to find how different crystals and their energies will blend with ours and help us.
<jules> Like with colours, there can be basic understanding shared but it is important for you to find your own, for they may be different to the qualities listed in books.
<jules> So why have you chosen this one? …use Meditation.
<jules> Take hold of the crystal, relax, allow yourself to connect with the Universal Energy and ask to be shown what the crystal will help you with.
<jules> You may feel. See or be told the answers. It may be brought to you through emotions. It may be shown to you through pictures, but use your own awareness. Listen to the Inner Voice.
<jules> So use them not only for yourself but for pets, plants and for any other forms of energy. Plants can be helped especially with making gem waters. 
<jules> This is a process of placing the crystals within water and leaving over night. The either watering with it or spraying it on the plants or giving it to your animals to drink. 
<jules> Crystals can be placed around the house to help with energies from electronic items.  So treat your Computer to a smokey quartz ;o))

<jules> Crystals can be used to balance, unblock and enhance certain psychic or spiritual qualities.
<jules> Now lets have a look at an experiment or two. As we have seen we are energy and when you blend other energies with it, it can enhance or detract with yours. 
<jules> So its good for you to find your own understanding on how different stones or crystals blend with you..
<jules> This one can be done in your own room. Place a white cord or string in a circle big enough to place a chair inside. Making sure the ends cross over to form a circle. Place a chair inside.
<jules> Between the cord and the chair place 5 or 6 pieces of rose quartz or how many you have. Rough stones if possible. 
<jules> You have formed a cabinet, a column of energy, which can be checked using dowsing rods if wanted. 
<jules> You will notice the rods will change from the energy outside the circle to the opposite inside. Ie the rods will if open close or if closed will open as you pass into the circle.
<jules> A cabinet has been used for many years to build up energies to be used by spirit.
<jules> In placing the rose quartz you are enhancing this energy with the properties of the rose quartz.
<jules> Allow the energies to build up for at least 10 minutes. Then sit on the chair for at least 5 minutes. 
<jules> How do you feel? Do you feel calm, excited, energized? Just listen to your body and your inner voice. Maybe you don't like it.
<jules> Then repeat this experiment using the white cord and putting different crystals inside. Maybe clear quartz, celestite, amethyst, carnelian, citrine smokey quartz. Which ever you have more than 2 of.
<jules> Each time writing down how you feel after sitting for at least 5 minutes.
<jules> Hopefully you will find the crystals that you most blend with for the different purposes. Especially looking for one that will help when meditating. For this is enhancing the spiritual and your connection to spirit.
