<kev> thank you and god bless you chris for sharing with us today

<Chris`> Thanks so much for having me here today kev :)
<Chris`> Good day all, and thanks for being here. It seems this is a time when a lot of people are interested in the spiritual aspects of their physical bodies, and how we can become more energetic in our everyday lives.
<Chris`> There are infinite sources of information regarding the body’s energy centers however today I’m going to focus more on how to recognize when your energy centers are off a bit, and what to do to correct them, not just in the short term but also addressing the causes of what blocks them.
<Chris`> Chakras, which means "wheels" in Sanskrit, are points of energy running along our spine. Ancient Hindus formulated that there were seven of these energy wheels, each a different color and spinning in a clockwise direction.
<Chris`> Interestingly enough, the spacing of chakras match major nerve or endocrine centers in the body.
<Chris`> The chakras can become easily blocked, making us feel sick or out of balance. You can clear the chakras by visualizing cleansing light pouring into them, which we’ll get into shortly but most important, by becoming conscious of the thought patterns that affect them.
<Chris`> As a general rule of thumb, the quality of any particular chakra will affect the area of the body that is local to it.  Basically, you can think of the chakras as energy transducers, transmuting spirit or etheric energy into physical manifestation.
<Chris`> If you think of gasoline as spiritual energy, the chakras are what make it possible for our bodies to use the fuel.  Just as carburetors or fuel injectors can become clogged, causing our vehicle to run poorly, so can our chakras affect our physical wellbeing.
<Chris`> ok...we have a lot of ground to cover so let's get right to it :)
<Chris`> The first chakra: also called, "Base or Root Chakra". Associated with the color red and located at the base of the spine.  Governs spine and kidneys.  The first chakra is also associated with our creativity and basic survival instincts including sexuality for men.
<Chris`> It is also known as the source of our ‘tribal’ power. It is our connection with family or group beliefs and it’s what initially supports the formation of our identity. You could say, it is what grounds us.
<Chris`> The fears associated with this chakra are of physical survival, abandonment by the tribe or society or the group, whichever group you associate yourself with.
<Chris`> There is a truth that sums up the nature of this particular energy: All is One.  It is through the experiences connected to the tribal energy that we explore and learn this idea.
<Chris`> Now, we have to understand, that it is both negative and positive group experiences that are represented by the root or tribal chakra. The group chakra regulates our immune system, and likewise, the immune system of the group or tribe can be reflected in our way of coping as a group with experiences on a larger scale.
<Chris`> In order to maintain the health and balance of this chakra, we must be willing to address the issues we have personally with any group, be it our friends and family, our community, or our earth tribe.
<Chris`> Part of becoming conscious means to take personal responsibility for ourselves. Once we become personally responsible for ourselves in even one area of our lives, no longer can we use tribal reasoning to excuse our behavior or choices.
<Chris`> The energy of this chakra first serves to bond us together, to rely on each other, to give and gain strength from one another and to foster the idea that: All is One. In becoming conscious we accept the challenge of being responsible for ourselves, developing our own truth about who we are and how we live.
<Chris`> This undertaking is joyous, and without fear or resentment or defensiveness or arrogance, when we remember the truth of this chakra, ALL IS ONE.
<Chris`> The second chakra: also called, "Sacral Chakra" is associated with the color orange and located in the lower abdomen to navel area. It governs reproductive system, pelvis and hip area, and bladder.
<Chris`> It is the chakra of relationships. With the second chakra energy shifts from obeying the tribal authority to discovering other relationships that satisfy personal and physical needs.
<Chris`> Not only does this chakra speak to our need for relationships with other people, but also our need to control to some degree the dynamics of our physical environment.
<Chris`> The illnesses that stem from this energy center are caused by the fear of losing control or being controlled by another, through events or conditions such as addiction, betrayal, financial loss, and abandonment by those we hold in high regard. Also, there is the loss of the power of the physical body itself
<Chris`> Due to the nature of the energy with regard to other relationships, it is also where we house our guilt.
<jules> if you have any questions please pm me with them as the room is moderated
<Chris`> What fears we have that contribute to a loss of power in this chakra also serves as a source of strength. The ability to defend and protect oneself; the ability to take risks; the resiliency to recover from any imagined loss, whether it be people, material things, or ideas and concepts of how things should have been.
<Chris`> Also it includes the power to rebel and re-establish a life.  As in the first chakra, there is a truth inherent in the second chakra: Honor One Another.  This applies to our relationships with others as well as all forms of life.
<Chris`> Author Gary Zukav, in his book Seat of the Soul, refers to it as reverence. A reverence for all things in life, all living things. All things.  When we recognize that all relationships, or in other words, that which we are in relationship to or with, serve to help us become more conscious, we develop a sense of reverence and value of all things.
<Chris`> This includes the most painful relationships, as well as the sublime.  No union is without spiritual value, each there to help us grow as individuals.
<Chris`> In any relationship it is not their job to help us grow, but it is our job to grow ourselves from it.  The spiritual challenge of the second chakra is to learn to interact consciously with others; to learn to form unions with those that support our growth, and to let go of those that handicap it.
<Chris`> This does not mean that we should judge those that do not support our growth, but to use the union or interaction to learn enough about ourselves to make a choice of what is healthy for our growth.
<Chris`> The energy of the second chakra allows us to move beyond the energy of the first chakra, or tribe.  There is a duality about the second chakra, for it challenges us to make choices in a world of opposing sides, of positive and negative patterns.
<Chris`> While we learned to gain strength from the tribe, the second chakra teaches us to make choices about what is right for us as individuals. It is paradoxical in nature in that it inclines us to control our lives, but the real lesson lies in learning that we cannot be in control when it comes to controlling the physical world.
<Chris`> It strives to push us into the one and only arena where our control exists, which is how we respond internally to the external world with our thoughts and emotions.
<Chris`> The truth contained in the paradoxical nature of dualism is this: It is not WHAT we choose that matters; our power to influence an outcome lies in our REASONS for making a certain choice. To learn what motivates our choices. In learning this motivation we gain critical Self Knowledge.
<Chris`> The second chakra is responsible for how we deal with our day to day lives, allowing for creative solutions to the various challenges we face. It is a powerful creative force at our disposal. To create effectively and consciously, we must learn to be conscious in our choices.
<Chris`> Having an understanding that leads to reverence of all life, all relationships, allows us to understand and appreciate every person we interact with, and allows us to make choices which are healthy for ourselves and ultimately, healthy for those around us.
<Chris`> The third chakra: also called, "Solar Plexus Chakra" is associated with the color yellow and located above the navel at the bottom of the breast bone. It governs  the stomach, liver, gall bladder, and nervous system.   It gives us a sense of our personal power in the world and it is also the center of our intuition.
<Chris`> Third chakra energy is the energy of personal power. It is what assists us in the process of individuation, the forming of our ego or ‘self’ (small s).  Because of this energy it’s easy to understand why this center contains most of the issues related to the development of our self-esteem.
<Chris`> Like the first two chakras, it relates to a physical form of power, a personal power in relation to the external world.  Illnesses related to this chakra stem from oversensitivity to criticism, self responsibility, and fear of rejection as well as fear of looking foolish and anything related to our physical appearance.
<Chris`> This chakra represents how we see ourselves in the world and how we perceive others to see us.
<Chris`> The strengths involved in a healthy third chakra include all the ‘Self’s’. Self- esteem, Self-respect, Self-discipline, ethics, and strength of character.
<Chris`> The sacred truth associated with this chakra is: Honor Thyself.  The energies in this chakra have but one true purpose, to help us gain maturity in understand ourselves and the relationship we have with ourselves. It compels us to create an identity apart from the ‘tribal’ self.
<Chris`> As we develop a sense of self, we find our intuitive voice becomes our natural and constant source of guidance.  There is an important distinction to make here, and some may disagree, but I urge you to consider it.
<Chris`> There seems to be a misinterpretation of what intuition is, and what it’s for and I feel this misinterpretation is the reason most people are challenged with developing it.  It’s not that people have trouble developing it, it’s that people tend to not recognize it for what it is, when it happens.
<Chris`> Intuition is not prophetic ability. It has nothing to do with telling the future.  Intuition is neither the ability to engage prophesy nor a means of avoiding life’s painful experiences, such as a loss of finance, relationships, or material things.
<Chris`> It is actually the ability to use energy to make decisions in the immediate moment.  Energy or intuitive situations are an indication that we have reached a crossroads in our lives and the time for a choice is at hand.
<Chris`> Now something I want to make very clear here. Intuition is never anxiousness or nervousness, or uncomfortable.  It is true however that we may feel these things when our intuition kicks in.
<Chris`> This is not due to intuition itself, or your higher self making you feel this way or an indication that something bad is going to happen. This is simply intuition making you aware of how you feel about your current direction and choices so far in that particular experience.
<Chris`> I’m not saying we don’t get feelings of ‘a bad situation’ or that ‘something isn’t right’.   All I’m saying is that those feelings come from us, and if we remember that when making choices, we’ll stay in the true energy of that chakra that allows us to be clear in our choices.
<Chris`> You don’t want to stay in that energy of ‘something’s wrong’ or that feeling of something unpleasant happening.  You want to make a choice out of conscious alignment with what you feel is right for you, rather than out of fear, anxiousness or desperation.
<Chris`> Understanding the energy of this chakra, you can see how someone with low self esteem feels challenged to act on their intuition, because the fear of failure or how they’ll appear to others is intense.
<Chris`> The thing is, Guidance requires action, but it never guarantees safety.  Keep in mind though, the only danger guidance ever puts us in, is the danger of moving into unfamiliar territory, or new cycle of life.
<Chris`> Working with intuition does not excuse us from our fears and resulting experiences, but it allows us to become more aware of and develop our own self esteem and learning what is right and healthy for us in any moment.
<Chris`> A sense of wholeness and value of ourselves allows us to make more conscious choices and gives us the security we usually seek externally and allows us to know that no matter what happens, we can trust ourselves to handle whatever comes along.
<Chris`> As we gain understanding about ourselves we gain the strength that comes from living with self esteem and our intuitive abilities emerge naturally.
<Chris`> The fourth chakra:  also called, "Heart Chakra" is associated with the color green or pink. It governs the heart, blood, and circulatory system.  This chakra is connected with emotion and human love.  It is the chakra of emotional power.
<Chris`> Being the middle chakra it mediates between the body and spirit. It teaches us how to act out of love and compassion.  This takes an enormous commitment and is essential in forming healthy relationships with others.
<Chris`> The primary fears associated with this chakra are loneliness, commitment, and following one’s heart, fear of betrayal, and the ability to protect oneself emotionally.
<Chris`> Loss of this chakra’s energy could result in bitterness, jealousy, anger, and hatred, and the inability to forgive others as well as yourself.
<Chris`> Now, the primary strengths for this chakra are Love, forgiveness, compassion, dedication, inspiration, trust and the ability to heal yourself as well as others.
<Chris`> The sacred truth inherent in this chakra is: Love is Divine Power. It is usually thought that mental power is superior, but actually it is emotional energy that is the true motivator of the human body and spirit. Our hearts are designed to express beauty, it is our true nature.
<Chris`> It is without question that in order to Love others we have to give ourselves the dignity of our own love.  There is a wounded child within most of us that contains the damaged or stunted emotional patterns of our childhood; painful memories and negative attitudes, all contributing to our emotional dysfunction and self image.
<Chris`> What the energy of this chakra provides, is an opportunity to discover our emotional nature, not in relation to anyone or anything else, but solely in relation to ourselves.
<Chris`> Without anyone else playing a primary role, we need to know: what do I like? What do I love? What makes me happy? Can I be self reliant? Can I be close to another and still honor my own emotional needs?  The tribal mind asks: What do I like in relation to others? What do I need from others in order to be happy?
<Chris`> And we are resistant to pursue this type of questioning because we know the answers will require us to change.  In all of our differing types of relationships we’ve been taught in some way or another that for success, there must be the abdication of self.
<Chris`> Now however, it is clear that what is needed and more healthy, is a strong SENSE of self.
<Chris`> This chakra, or the heart chakra, is all about healing. It is the source and means to our self healing. One of the ways we apply this energy is through the act of forgiveness.
<Chris`> This is very important to understand.  Forgiveness is never about telling the person that harmed you that ‘it’s ok’.  Forgiveness is an act that liberates the mind and soul from the need for vengeance and from the perception that one is a victim
<Chris`> Without forgiveness, we poison ourselves and hold ourselves hostage to the resentment, pain, anger and fear we have towards the one who hurt us initially.  Without forgiveness we take on the role of our abuser by punishing ourselves in reliving the experience over and over by holding it in our hearts.
<Chris`> I cannot stress enough the importance here of the act of forgiveness for yourself.  In truth, forgiveness is never about the other person, it is a release accomplished by you to free yourself of the pain of an experience and the need to blame another.
<Chris`> As we’re all too aware of, the act of self blame is apparent in many areas of our lives.  We need to stop distracting ourselves with self criticism and get onto the business of making changes in ourselves that we want.
<Chris`> I’m not talking about the recognition we have in a moment where we realize a choice or action we made wasn’t in our best interest, for that is necessary for contrast.  I’m talking about the punishment we deal ourselves over and over and over again for what we see as a past mistake.
<Chris`> As I said, this is nothing but a distraction from taking responsibility in making appropriate changes to better ourselves.
<Chris`> Author Carolyn Myss puts it beautifully: ‘ We will all have experiences meant to ‘break our hearts’ - not in half, but wide open.’
<Chris`> We all have our horror stories, complete with all the gory details and justifications for staying in the pain and clinging to it like a life preserver.
<Chris`> The question is, and always is, What will you do with it? Will you use it to allow fear to gain more of an authority over you, or will you release it through an act of forgiveness, both to others and to yourself?
<Chris`> Remember, Love is Divine Power, and no matter what spiritual tradition you follow, the only path to spiritual consciousness is through the heart.
<Chris`> The fifth chakra is also called,"Throat Chakra" and is associated with the color blue. It governs the bronchial and vocal apparatus or throat, neck, jaw and teeth.   When the throat chakra is clean, then one feels an inner, completely unshakable peace; one feels strong, no matter the circumstances
<Chris`> Not a strength that has to do with power, but a strength that springs from resting in oneself, a resting in ones higher, or divine self.  This chakra energy is the Power of Will.
<Chris`> The challenge of this chakra is to grow your will.  It is a maturation of will moving from the tribal perception that everyone and everything has authority over you, to the perception and understanding that you alone have authority over you.
<Chris`> Some of the fears associated with this chakra include having no authority or power of choice within our own lives and personal and professional relationships.  This is especially strong when we fear having no authority over someone’s emotional control over us.
<Chris`> The strengths of this chakra are Faith, self knowledge, and the capacity to make decisions knowing that no matter what choice we make, we can keep our word to ourselves and to others.
<Chris`> I want to state here that it’s important to recognize that some choices we make are not in our best interest, and there should be no self judgment for changing those choices that are not healthy for us.
<Chris`> It is not required to remain in any relationship, for example, that you’ve given your word on to remain in, if it is unhealthy for you.
<Chris`> The sacred truth inherent in this energy is: Surrender Personal Will to Divine Will.  I’m going to take a moment here to explain my view of this. What I have to say may ruffle a few feathers, but just keep in mind that everything said here is for consideration only.
<Chris`> I have different views on the idea of surrender and divine will.  First, surrender is not giving up control of anything, including your life. Surrendering is about accepting what is, as ‘what is’.
<Chris`> It is about not resisting what life brings you in experience.  Divine will I don’t see as an authority some call God, dictating to you how you should live and what choices you should make.
<Chris`> Surrendering to divine will is about not resisting what life brings you, and using your own divine power and connection to ALL THERE IS in order to be in alignment with your own Highest Self
<Chris`> It is the ability to consciously consider the energetic consequences of our choices.  It is inevitable that these considerations will literally force us into a level of honesty that is entirely new to us.
<Chris`> One of my favorite quotes comes from Dr. Phil:  When we are emotionally honest with another, we allow them the change to deal with what is real.
<Chris`> change = chance :)
<Chris`> The same goes for ourselves, when we are emotionally honest with ourselves, we allow ourselves to deal with what is real, rather than what should be or couldn’t be.
<Chris`> Another challenge of this chakra, given that it lies between the energy of the heart and the energy of the mind, is to use it as a balance between the two.
<Chris`> The only way to break through a pattern of fear, of being at a stalemate in life, is to make choices that engage both energies of the mind and heart, and we do this with our power of choice. It only takes one strong choice to break through.
<Chris`> Choices that say: No more, I will not take this another day, or, I won’t allow this treatment another moment - I must leave.  Not only do our lives begin to change immediately, but so do the lives of those involved around us.
<Chris`> You will engage the energies of this chakra by following some simple rules: Make no judgments, Have no expectations, Give up the need to know why things happen as they do because all we really need to know is how we’re going to choose to respond to them.
<Chris`> And trust that all the unexpected events in our lives happen for a reason and have in them a direction for us.
<Chris`> The sixth chakra, also called, "The Third Eye" is associated with the color Purple. It governs the lower brain, eyes, ears, nose, nervous system.  Located between the eyebrows.  it is the center for clairvoyance, visions, and transcendence of time and space in thinking.
<Chris`> It is the Power of the Mind and is the chakra of wisdom.  It is about learning to act on internal direction and taking back your power from false truths and learning the motivation of your thoughts.
<Chris`> This chakra links us to our mental body, our intelligence as well as our psychological characteristics. Our psychological characteristics are a combination of what we know, what we believe to be true, and combination of fears, facts and personal experiences.  All of these along with memories are active within our mental body.
<Chris`> The art of detachment is what is available to those that utilize this chakra’s energy. It is moving beyond the personal mind to what is called, the impersonal mind, observing without judgment.
<Chris`> Some of the primary fears associated with this chakra include: a reluctance or unwillingness to look deeply into one’s fears, a fear of the truth, fear of judgment and fear of relying on someone else’s counsel, and fear of one’s shadow side.
<Chris`> The strengths of this chakra are: great acts of creativity and intuitive reasoning, intellectual abilities as well as emotional intelligence, and, receiving inspiration.
<Chris`> The sacred truth inherent in this chakra is: Seek only the Truth. Where the previous chakra was: Speak only truth, this one is See only truth.  It calls us to seek out the illusions that cause us to remain stagnant and powerless in our lives.
<Chris`> There are times in all our lives where we’d rather not see the truth in order to perpetuate our false sense of security that we derive from a fantasy or illusion.  A good and common example of this is the person who has romantic feelings for another, but are afraid to express them and ask the other what their feelings are toward them.
<Chris`> They don’t want to know the truth, if the truth is that the other doesn’t have the same feelings. They would rather not get any clarity or accept what is apparent because it would destroy the feelings they get from believing in the illusion.
<Chris`> Consciousness is the ability to release the old and embrace the new.  As we experience and become more aware of ourselves, our truths will change, evolve.  Our truth will change with our understanding.
<Chris`> To seek the truth is to always be open to change, and to seek understanding that allows expansion of awareness.
<Chris`> Here are a few tips to provide you with a starting point for developing the impersonal mind, achieving symbolic sight and the ability to see through illusion.
<Chris`> Develop a practice of introspection, and work to become conscious of what you believe and why.
<Chris`> Keep an open mind and learn to become aware of when your mind is shutting down.
<Chris`> Recognize when you are becoming defensive as it is an attempt to keep new insight and understanding from your awareness.
<Chris`> Know that all situations and relationships have a symbolic importance, even if you can’t understand how or why at the time.
<Chris`> Refrain from all judgments, it’s another distraction from new understanding and insight.  If you judge something as one thing, you blind yourself to all it is.
<Chris`> Let go of any values in which you believe you have to achieve certain goals and know that a successful life is a process of achieving self control through self awareness.
<Chris`> Act on your inner guidance and give up the need for ‘proof’.
<Chris`> and finally....
<Chris`> keep all your attention in the present moment.
<Chris`> well...we've come a long way so far, but bear with me as we explore the last one :)
<Chris`> The seventh chakra is called, "The Crown Chakra" and is associated with the color violet or white.  It is located at the top of the head. This is related to one's personal spiritual connection to the universe
<Chris`> It is the entry point for the human life force. It nourishes the mind, body and spirit and connects the entire physical body and lower six chakras. It influences the central nervous system, the muscular system and the skin.
<Chris`> This is the chakra that generates devotion, inspirational, and prophetic thoughts, transcendent ideas and mystical connections.
<Chris`> The fears associated with this chakra are fears relating to spiritual issues, such as, the dark night of the soul, loss of identity, and loss of connection with life and people around us, as well as a spiritual abandonment.
<Chris`> The strengths are: Faith in the divine, in ALL THERE IS, including inner guidance, insight into healing, and a quality of trust that far surpasses ordinary human fears.
<Chris`> The truth of the seventh chakra is: Live in the Present Moment
<Chris`> In living in the moment we have infinite opportunity to know ourselves as spirit, because every moment, every experience is a reflection of ourselves and the illusions we have created.
<Chris`> Our connection with the spiritual through our crown chakra allows us to know our true nature, and to remember who we really are and why we’re here. Seek to know yourself as spirit, and your life will unfold in ways you can’t imagine.
<Chris`> I know this has been a lot to absorb. Thanks for being patient with me. I'll now take any questions anyone may have :)
<jules> the first question is from helena...> Hi Chris, In what ways does a fragmented spirit affect the chakra system and health and how can the fragments all be put back together again for full balance of mind, body and spirit?
<Chris`> great question!!
* Seagull sets mode: +v helena
<Chris`> a fragmented spirit usually occurs because of some experience or trauma in which a part of us remains unhealed
<helena> hi chris
<Chris`> Hi :)
<helena> im getting there chris
<helena> i always ask .. will i ever get there and will i run out of time
<Chris`> in most cases, this is going to be a solar plexus chakra issue, dealing ultimately with self esteem and not being able to find the value in an experience, and a value to the part of the spirit that is fragmented
<Chris`> well....fortunately time isn't an issue. There is no goal so to speak because the spirit is after the experience and the experience is always an ongoing process
<helena> phew
<Chris`> lol
<helena> i have done alot of degunking and throwing out what isnt mine to own
<Chris`> be aware of any past hurts you're still holding in your heart and seek to release them through believing they served a purpose
<Chris`> oh wonderful...that is a task in itself....determining what is ours to carry and what is not
<helena> two steps fwd and one back is still one fwd ... right?
<Chris`> and even those things we think our ours to carry...we can also release ...it is always our choice.
<Chris`> lol never a step backwards, although we might see it that way
<helena> o okies, a lil rest then
<Chris`> more like one step forward, two steps to the side to understand another aspect of a particular challenge
<helena> a great way to look at it
<helena> as lost fragments are put back together does a balance come
<Chris`> when we believe we're not moving forward or that we're taking a backward step, we tend to put unnecessary pressure on ourselves and that puts us in a state of self criticism...again...eventually you will make changes. I say bypass the guilt and self punishment and get on to making those changes as best you can
<helena> ah i am back in that 'need to deal with stuff' mode again
<Chris`> as lost fragments come together, there is a restored harmony. Energy spent in trying to fill a hole within yourself is restored allowing it to be put elsewhere towards a healthy growth
<helena> cool, there is hope ... loads of it
<Chris`> our stuff never goes away, until we accept it as ours, accept it as valuable and move to understand, then transform it
<Chris`> in this way we have to really love ourselves
<helena> i do now ... finally
<Chris`> loving ourselves as we are doesn't mean we don't want to be our best, but we can't make positive changes while at the same time being down on ourselves
<Chris`> change because of that self love....not to gain it
<helena> wow, powerful stuff

<Chris`> actually....I do have a favorite exercise that I like to use that I'll share with you
<ALA>  6  yes Shelly loved it SO HELPFUL
<prissy101>  2 Chris could you or some one here some day have an event to show all how to cleanse balance and align the chakras
<prissy101>  2 this is so very important using the chakras
<Chris`> This is an easy meditation which not only promotes altering to higher vibrations, but serves to help clear the chakras as well. As with ANY chakra clearing, only a portion of the "blockage" is removed.
<Chris`> It is up to the individual to work through their own inner issues to ensure their chakras are as open and as clear as they possibly can be.
<Chris`> First, as always, get into a comfortable position. For this particular meditation, I prefer to sit, feet flat on the floor, hands beside me.
<Chris`> Focus in on your breathing, taking deep breaths of positive energy, and exhaling deeply, all negative energy.
<Chris`> Continue with your relaxing breaths.
<Chris`> When you feel comfortable, imagine a very wonderful, beautiful, warm place.  Choose anything from an exotic garden, complete with towering, wide-leafed plants, waterfall, etc., or a quiet wooded area.
<Chris`> It is very quiet and peaceful at this place. Imagine yourself getting up and walking around in this paradise. Take your time and explore the beauty around you. During your exploration, notice an elevator which has been built into the side of the mountain.
<Chris`> Make your way over to it and press the button, and the elevator doors open.  Step inside and push the button for the 1st floor. As you feel the elevator ascending (and pay attention to the sensation you may feel in your feet at this time. Mine tend to subtly vibrate!).
<Chris`> As the elevator slowly moves up, the entire cabin becomes filled with a beautiful red light. You feel it around you. You breath in the colour red. You are totally immersed in it.
<Chris`> The elevator stops, the door opens, you look out and see nothing but vibrant red! Step out of the elevator for a moment if you like. Feel the red pulsing over you, flooding you, filling you. You step back into the elevator and the door closes.
<Chris`> You push the button to go the to second floor....
<Chris`> As the elevator again ascends, the red color which has filled the cabin begins to shift and change. It quickly turns to a bright orange. Again, you can feel yourself breathing in this orange color.
<Chris`> When the elevator stops and the door opens, you step out, and become immersed in the vibrant orange energy. As you step back into the elevator, the door closes, and you press the button to take you to the 3rd floor.
<Chris`> This time, the cabin fills with a vivid yellow light. Feel yourself breathing it in and out. Again, when the elevator stops, you step out into the thick yellow energy. Step back into the elevator and proceed to subsequent floors, experiencing the different colors associated with each floor, which are as follows:
<Chris`> 4th floor – green
<Chris`> 5th floor – blue
<Chris`> 6th floor – purple
<Chris`> 7th floor - white
<Chris`> At each floor, step out into the swirling energy. Enjoy it. Feel it. Allow it to filter in and uplift you.  After you have completed all 7 floors, you simply descend floor by floor, experiencing the same energies, until you are back at the first floor.
<Seagull> (O:  wow ..awesome Chris!
<ALA>  6  thank you for sharing that with us, Chris!
<prissy101>  2 wow yes awesome meditation
<Chris`> This is also something I do no matter where I am..standing in line, on a bus, at work etc...when you get comfortable with it, you won't even need to visualize the elevator at all...just do a mental run through of the colors filling your body
<helena> wow thank you for that chris
<prissy101>  2 sorry i was finishing the meditation lol
<prissy101>  2 awesome meditation
<Emma> that would make a great induction
<cameesh1>  2 thats wonderful chris thank you
<Seagull> what floor you on prissy?  (o:
<crystalball> Chris have you heard of Vipassana medittaion?
<Seagull> it really is ..easy visualization
<Seagull> (o: ty (( chris ))
<Vineta> that was amazing
<prissy101>  2 done seagull
<prissy101>  2 all floors
<Vineta> ive never done that before but i knew the colors even before they were typed in
<Seagull> (o: awesome!
<Vineta> that was  so cool
<helena> can i take my lil inner child with me on that?
<Vineta> i could see them around me
<prissy101>  2 yes helena would be great to do
<Chris`> I have heard of it crystalball.....associated with the Art of Living...but I don't know all that much about it
<Chris`> oh yes helena....great idea
<helena> i will ... i will hold her hand till she feels she can let go
<Seagull> (o:
<Seagull> (( lena ))
<helena> omg tears again
<jules> wonderful vineta
<prissy101>  2 yes helena ((((helena innerchild))))
<crystalball> I have been practcing Vipassana meditation about 2 years now, it has helped me to work out all that stuffs you were talking about, very powerful technique
<prissy101>  2 yes is healing and cleansing helena go for it
<Chris`> that's wonderful crystalball :))  all about how to turn your thought processes around and away from negativity
<helena> if anything was meant to be ... i was so meant to be here tonight
<prissy101>  2 ala and hummm when kev posts this event i want you to print it out and study it
<crystalball> the 10 day silent course is free, they have more than 50 sites in the US and many overseas
<Seagull> (o:
<jules> wonderful helena!!
<Seagull> i think your right lena!
<helena> i KNOW i am
<crystalball> thank you for the awesome work you share today Chris
<prissy101>  2 yes  is awesome to remember all chris covered
<Vineta> hummm had to leave prissy
<prissy101>  2 i agree very good and awesome event today
<Seagull> agree prissy!
<Vineta> she isnt here
<Chris`> I really like the concept of it crystalball.....it doesn't deal with resisting negativity or fighting against....just a matter of learning to put your attention and focus on other things
<prissy101>  2 ok ty vineta
<Chris`> my pleasure, and thank you all for being here
<Chris`> what I'd like to do now....
<Seagull> (((( Chris ))))))))
<prissy101>  2 ((((Chris))))
<helena> thank you chris!!!!!!
<jules> Chris' its always very enlightening when you are here
<Chris`> is just take a moment and see if one or two of you have some specific chakras that might be needing alignment
<jules> ty for today and all you share with others
<phyllis`> ((((((((chris))))))))  thank you very much!!
<Vineta> can i ask a question chris?
<Seagull> (o: !
<prissy101>  2 sounds good Chris
<Chris`> I don't so much see the chakras in another as I get a sense of what colors are predominantly needing attention
<Chris`> you bet Vineta!
<crystalball> Vipassana teaches how to observe the reality within ourselves at deeper levels, through objective observation we gain insight into the causes of our agitation or dissatisfaction
<prissy101>  2 raises hand check me
<Vineta> i have a sore, small one at the base of my skull on the back of my neck, i did a chakra balancing once and it went away
<Vineta> but it came back
<Chris`> hi Bigwill....glad you could make it :)
<Vineta> it has been there for a long time
<Vineta> could it have anything to do with my chakras
<Vineta> the doctor calls it an infected nerve ending
<Seagull> i'm not sure if bigwill is back yet ..had to drive daughter someplace chris
<Seagull> he'll be back shortly (o:
<Chris`> absolutely Vineta....a weaking of a chakra indicates a potential weakness in the physical body, making it vulnerable in the area of the chakra
<crystalball> Seafull I am still waiting for husband to get home to visit my mom
<Chris`> what it indicates to me is that it is a throat chakra issue
<crystalball> *Seagull
<Seagull> ((( crystal ))))
<crystalball> see you next time ((((((Gully))))))
<Chris`> i would ask you if there have been thoughts or emotions you have been unwilling to express....this also feels like long ago past issues rather than something current
<Seagull> bye (( crystal take care )))
<Vineta> that makes sense yes
<phyllis`> chris may I ask a question ?
<prissy101>  2 for two years i have used the chakra meditation and studied this meditation to connect with spirit everything here today is awesome and correct and the meanings are so accurate
<Vineta> what can i do to heal and balance this?
<Chris`> There seems to be an unwillingness to speak your truth about something....most likely because you feel what you have to say either won't be acknowledged, or won't be understood....almost like a fear that if you do express it, it won't give you a feeling of knowing they truly understand it's impact on you
<Vineta> i dont have much experience in the chakra area
<prissy101>  2 vineta chris is telling you correct and how to correct it
<Chris`> It's important to pay attention to your body...it will tell you which chakra is affected by the location of the discomfort
<Vineta> that makes sense
<ALA>  6  (((((((Vineta)))))))
<prissy101>  2 (((Vineta))))
<Vineta> xxxxxxxxx
<Chris`> when this sore appears ...ask yourself: what am I afraid to say...and also, remind yourself that you have a right to feel anything you feel, and that what you feel is valid, simply because you ARE feeling it
<Vineta> okay
<Chris`> and wear something blue...to remind you :)
<prissy101>  2 :)
<Chris`> you have a question phyllis`?
<phyllis`> I've been told that my 3rd eye is blocked, and could this be the reason for my loneliness & sadness
<phyllis`> thank you
<Vineta> ty chris xxxxxxxxxxxxx
<crystalball> gotta run ((((((((may you all be happy and peace)))))))))
<Seagull> ((( phyllis ))))
* crystalball has quit IRC (Quit: crystalball )
<phyllis`> ty seagull:)
<jules> (((Crystal))))
<prissy101>  2 ((((phyllis)))
<Seagull> yvw
<phyllis`> ty prissy :)
<prissy101>  2 most welcome hon
<Chris`> it could in part...I find that it's rarely just one chakra that is being affected.....initially, it is the 3rd eye that can become clogged due to a lack of sight so to speak...or the ability to see beyond current circumstances..this can leave you feeling stuck in a place that you feel you HAVE to remain in
<phyllis`> ok
* Seagull has quit IRC (Quit: The soul would have no rainbow, if the eyes had no tears )
<phyllis`> I do feel stuck in my life
<Chris`> this lack of sight leads to a clog in the heart chakra, because of our loneliness and sadness at not feeling like we're where we want to be, or that we're not with WHO we want to be with
<prissy101>  2 Chris can you check her heart chakra
<phyllis`> true
<phyllis`> I've been at a loss since my husbands passing
<Chris`> I want to say phyllis....not to narrow your vision...there is no one thing, or one way, or one person.... what was seen as lost only feels like it has a finality to it because you may be focusing on it being the only way, or only one
* jules sets mode: -v helena
<phyllis`> true, but to move on is difficult some time
<Chris`> when we lose a love what the challenge for us to remember is: we now have an awareness of the depth our love can reach...and that love is available at all times in infinite forms
<phyllis`> oh how true!!!
<Chris`> be open to this love....as I said earlier...our hearts may be broken at times...not in half, but wide open...
<phyllis`> very much so   ty
<prissy101>  2 wow cold chills
