As I was walking from my car to my front door, I noticed this spider on a yellow rose in my front yard. I went in and grabbed the camera and a light, and snapped this portrait. Notice the yellow pollen grains caught in the spider's hair on her back and on her left front leg.
She then presented this nice profile for me. The spider's body was about 1 centimeter long, not including the legs.
I've been told this is a female jumping spider of the genus Phidippus, possibly P. johnsoni.
