Something's Brewing by the Bridge

On Halloween, 1999, I went to a campout at Kirby Cove, in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, near the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. We had a Jack-o-Lantern out on a cliff with a view of the bridge. I noticed that the color and brightness of the Pumpkin nicely complimented the color and brightness of the bridge just after sunset. I put the camera on a tiny tripod right next to the ground, about a foot or two from the pumpkin, and took several timed exposures.

Note: this photo was NOT digitally altered (none of my photos are). People who weren't there have remarked how it looks like the pumpkin was pasted in there on the computer. People who were there say this photo is exactly how it looked that night.

Camera: Nikon FM.
Lens: 24mm f2.8 Nikkor.
Film: Kodak Gold 100.
Exposure: Something like 20 seconds at f4.0

Special thanks to Maria Alvarez for carving the Pumpkin, Squash, or whatever it was.
