Habitat Loss: Another danger
When humans assume there will be enough land for all the tigers. Overdeveloped cities and towns have robbed tigers of their territory. When towns and cities trespass on the tigers territory, tigers tend to fight for their loss. When this happens, people are killed. This leads to people determined to hunt (poach) the tiger who had killed, even though they were on the defense. A loyal watchdog does the same to an intruder. Why is the dog praised for defending it's territory, when a tiger is killed for doing the same?
Another thing tigers miss out on when humans don't conserve is an acceptable amount of prey. As the tiger loses territory, their prey, which could be abundant, are also losing land to graze. They end up moving or dying. Either way, the tiger loses food opportunities. If s/he cannot eat, the tiger dies...
A way you can help is to recycle and conserve all you can. When you are wasteful, you are not only wasting an opportunity to make the world a safer place to live and breathe in, you are also wasteing something that isn't yours, a tiger's territory. The territory s/he may die for.
