DG, California:
"I find it very disturbing that anti-gunners are working hard to brainwash kids into hating their heritage. I've got lady friends who have kids with no dads around. The boys love to go out shooting. I started them out with pellet guns, with occasional trips to the range with my military rifles. I emphasize the responsibility that comes with using and owning such powerful weapons. I convey that only real men who have honor and self-discipline can handle firearms. They are eager to try to live up to this. They get really puzzled and upset when I mention how some politicians and ignorant people want to take away our rights and heritage, and their fun. They then listen carefully when I explain what's going on, and how they have a responsibility too, to protect their heritage of freedom. I have shown them several of your posters, and that hammers the message home. Some of them they want their own copy. I have gotten about 8 young men out to the range to some degree. I've got one young girl out shooting a bit too, she's got other interests, but she at least understands about her rights, particularly that of self-defense. Three of the boys have got their own pellet guns now, one has joined 4-H where he can go to the range for trap and rifle, and they all understand the basics now of "gun control" and it's dangerous idiocy. I figure if I die tomorrow, there are now at least three young men to replace me, who will fight for their heritage when they grow up."
Thanks, DG. Let's do the math: if each of 80 million gun owners got three young people involved and educated, that would be...320 million new gun owners for the next millenium? Sarah Brady's nightmare!
