Gun control's racist beginnings: Facts: Some of the first gun control laws were passed to keep African Americans from defending themselves against the KKK and other racist groups. Many of todays gun control laws similarly are aimed at minoritys. The HUD (Housing and Urban Development) of the Clinton Administration has ordered a gun ban in Federal housing projects. Of course, all this means is that the poor, often minority, residents who are already most vulnerable to crime, are now officially defenseless. Many of these areas already have an inadequate police presence. Now the residents are really left to "Dial 911 and Die".
