Western Lights Band at the old Puerto Azul

Vincent and Melena Ortiz along with their new business partners Buddy and Barbara Linker are back in business in West Sacramento serving fine Mexican Cuisine along with an expanded menu to include some fine American dishes as well. Many of our friends are familiar with the great food and service Vincent and Melena provided at the old Puerto Azul partly because Western Lights performed there on a monthly basis in 2005. They now have a brand new venue, right down the street from where they were before! The food and service are even better than ever!

Western Lights will begin performing on a monthly basis at their new restaurant again starting January 14. Come join us for some excellent food, service and live Bluegrass Music provided by Western lights. Western Lights has been a performing band in the Sacramento area for 12 plus years. Their music has strong roots in traditional bluegrass and gospel music featuring three and four part harmony vocals and banjo, fiddle, mandolin and guitar as primary lead instrumentation. Beyond bluegrass however the band also enjoys diversity in their music performing Western Swing and other related music styles. Their CD, “Favorites of Ours” released in 2005 has received many favorable reviews:
