As part of the upcoming final conference for the Purple Sulfur Bacteria Conference” sponsored by the California Dairy Campaign, the conference attendees will get an opportunity Tuesday evening to kick back and enjoy a BBQ and live Bluegrass Music by the Western Lights Band from the Sacramento area.  The band will be performing at the “Barn” near Verburg and Son’s Dairy.  Attached is a map to the BBQ and playing venue!

Western Lights has been a performing band in the Sacramento area for 12 plus years.  Their first CD CD, “Favorites of Ours” released in 2000 has received many favorable reviews including this one by Larry Kuhn, Former Editor of Sacramento area Bluegrass News!:

"Favorites Of Ours” is mellow; it’s smooth; and it’s just great listening!  It is filled with traditional favorites that run the gamut from bluegrass to gospel, western swing to old  timey, and fiddle tunes to country blues, all thoughtfully performed by great musicians."

The band has just finished their much anticipated 2nd CD, “Bob Played Here!” which is expected to be ready for all the conference attendees at this event!  In addition to straight ahead Bluegrass Music, the band members are all huge fans of Bob Wills and his great Western Swing Music!
