AutoBinder was designed to provide a convient way for you to store very detailed information about your car. Using this program you have a central place to keep a record of all the parts you are using on your vehicle. For instance, you can quickly retrieve the specifications of your camshaft to give to a transmission shop to help choose a torque converter for your vehicle(You could also print a report and fax it to them!).

AutoBinder is composed of the following 7 areas: Vehicle, Engine, Exhaust, Drivetrain, Suspension, Maintenance, and Lists. Each of the areas has a series of fields you can use to enter information. If a field does not exist for the information you want to enter, there are memo fields on every tab to hold this extra information.

The Vehicle area provides tabs to store the following information:

Vehicle - Name, Manufacturer, Year, Codes, VIN, etc.
Interior - Seats, Steering Column, Door Panels, Dashboard, Gauges, etc.
Stereo - Stereo, Speakers, Amplifiers, etc.
Accessories - Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Windows/Locks etc.


The Engine area provides tabs to store the following information:

Block - Year, Manufacturer, Codes, Bore, Stroke, etc.
Rotating Assembly - Crankshaft, Connection Rods, Pistons, etc.
Cylinder Heads - Manufacturer, Combustion Chamber, Valves, Rocker Arms, etc.
Camshaft- Manufactuer, Lift, Duration, Lifters, etc.
Air/Fuel Systems - Intake Manifold, Carburetor, Carburetor Jets, Fuel Pump, etc.
Cooling System - Radiator, Water Pump, Thermostat, etc.
Ignition/Electrical Systems - Distributor, Coil, Alternator, Starter, etc.
Supercharger/Nitrous - Supercharger, Pulleys, Nitrous, Nitrous Plates, etc.


The Exhaust area provides a tab to store the following information:

Exhaust - Headers, Collector Size, Mufflers, Catalytic Converter, etc.


The Drivetrain area provides tabs to store the following information:

Transmission - Manufacturer, Year, Clutch, Torque Converter, Gear Ratios, etc.
Front Axle - Manufacturer, Year, Gears, Axles, etc.
Rear Axle - Manufacturer, Year, Gears, Axles, etc.
Driveshafts - Length, U-joints, etc.


The Suspension area provides tabs to store the following information:

Front Suspension - Upper/Lower Control Arms, Ball Joints, Sway Bar, Tires, etc.
Rear Suspension - Upper/Lower Control Arms, Brakes, Springs, Sway Bar, Tires, etc.
Steering - Steering Box, Tie Rods, Idler Arm, etc.


The Maintenance area provides tabs to store the following information:

Maintenance 1 - Oil Change, Transmission Fluid Change, Spark Plug Change, etc.
Maintenance 2 - Brake Change/Inspection, Distributor Cap Change, Breaker Point Change, etc.
User Defined Maintenance - Six additional maintenance items you can create.


The Lists area provides tabs to store the following information:

Want List - Create a list of things you want to purchase for your vehicle
Wrecking Yard List- Create a list of things to get from a wrecking yard for your vehicle
To Do List - Create a list of things to do on your vehicle
Cost List - Create a running list of how much all of your parts are costing (Warning: This can be very depressing!!!)

All information that you enter may be printed out using the Standard Reports option. Using this option, you can print all of the information that is located on a tab withing an area. You may print multiple reports at the same time. For example, selecting 'Cylinder Heads' and 'Camshaft' in from Standard Reports would print two reports, one containing all the information from the Cylinder Heads tab and one with all of the information from the Camshaft tab from within the Engine Area.

In addition to the Standard Reports option, the Custom Reports option is also available to allow you to specify which information you want to appear on a report (Excluding the Maintenance and Lists Areas). For example you could create a single report that contains your vehicle year, body style, color, vehicle extra information, front seats, rear seats, stereo and speakers.

The Create Webpage option will allow you to create a basic, text only webpage using the information you have entered in AutoBinder. Similar to the Custom Reports option, you can select which information will appear on your webpage (Excluding the Maintenance and List Areas). The webpage file will be saved to the location you specify so that you can upload it or modify it using a webpage editor.

both have AutoBinder, you can export your vehicle and email him the file. They can then
import the file into their AutoBinder so they can have the specifications of your vehicle.
